As announced just a month ago, Australia was planning to take steps to combat online casinos with no license from targeting players in the country.
It now seems that the honours for first two online casinos that find themselves targeted by the new measures go to Emu Casino and Fair Go Casino. Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) have been told by The Australian Media and Communications Authority (ACMA) to start blocking access to both domains.
Over the last few years online casinos targeting the lucrative Australian market without a proper license to do so have been facing stronger measures including fines and travel bans for operators. Of course for every casino that stops a new one is sure to pop up and this later measure is of course easy to circumvent by players using a VPN.
That being said we at Online Casino Slots News are always in favour of regulation and can only applaud this latest action. Playing at a online casino without a proper license is tantamount to just handing over your money and not something that we would ever recommend. This of course is why on our website you will not find any unregulated online casinos but only the very best.
